Pad a Girl and the sanitary pad bank keep girls in school through menstrual health support. A pad bank serves girls at Awudome-Bame EP Primary and JHS and at Bakpe D/A Basic School. A former student of the Bame school now sponsors pads for girls there during their menstrual cycle.
With Volta Pads, the foundation has taught the hygienic use of reusable pads to more than 200 students, moving girls from traditional cloth to certified reusable materials. Nurses from Awudome Avenui have taught school girls, boys, teenage mothers, and parents about menstrual health and family planning.
Students of Ho Technical University and the Nursing Training College have been equipped to support vulnerable girls during national service, including so that girls are not pushed to compromise their integrity in exchange for pads. More than a hundred students took part.
A memorandum signed on 23 August 2022 with Youth Impact Foundation and Sisterhood Ghana covers monthly sanitary towels and the Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Project.
